We gave Chase and Michelle their own spotlight posts, but it’s time to round up the (relatively) chic attendees of the Gotham TV Awards and let them know what they got wrong. Let’s go!
Aja Naomi King in Ulla Johnson

The color looks great on her, but we hate all the flounces and ruffles.
Dan Levy in Bottega Veneta

It would seem that David Rose hasn’t completely left the building. This is okay, but we dislike the cut of the jacket in combination with the white tie.
David Harbour

Acceptable, but his sleeves are too short.
Haley Lu Richardson in Archival Donna Karan

A couch from 1975. Terrible textile, awkward length.
Hugh Dancy and Claire Danes

Simple and chic. We can’t say we love the color of her dress or the neckline, but it still looks great on her.
Joy Sunday in Roberto Cavalli

Cavalli seems to be having a bit of a comeback at the moment. This is great, but we don’t like the design of the bust.
Karolina Wydra in Cong Tri

She makes interesting choices for the red carpet and we appreciate that. We like the basketweave and the sheer pleats of the skirt, but the dress is kind of shapeless.
Kerry Washington in Oscar de la Renta

On the one hand, it’s tough to argue with that. On the other hand, we don’t think that’s the best gold for her. It skews a little too yellow.
Lili Reinhart in Valentino

The beading is interesting and the black train is unexpected. We like this for her, but we hate that dingy, sheer neckline.
Madeline Brewer in Ludovic de Saint Sernin

Cute, but it’s cutting into her at the top. We’ll be happy when these slides stop being trendy.
Molly Ringwald in Lein

The skirt gets weird around the hips and there’s no way in hell those sandals go with it.
Myha’la Herrold in Archival Gucci

This mostly works, but we don’t like the embellishments at the hem, which seem kind of random, or the cutout, which looks a little half-assed.
Odessa A’zion

Her hair looks cute. The ensemble is somewhat pretentiously affected, as is most of her red carpet style, but it lacks the exuberance of some of her more outrageous looks. We don’t mind that she toned it down, but this isn’t very interesting.
Patrick Ball in Brioni

We think you can have a shiny jacket or a shiny shirt, but you can’t have both at the same time.
Paul Anthony Kelly and Sarah Pidgeon in Tom Ford

It’s a little weird that they’re posing like a couple, but we guess they’re gunning for Emmy noms and they want to remind everyone of who they are. They look generically chic — and yes, that’s damning them with faint praise. Those frames look great on him.
Rebecca Hall in Sportmax

Can’t argue with that hotness. This is a little unusual for her but we like the change of pace.
Rhea Seehorn in Valentino

The style really suits her and we could even get behind the peach color, but that bigass bow looks silly and that gold panel clashes so badly it hurst the eyes.
Samba Schutte

Great color of suit, but it’s time to officially retire the sheer men’s dress shirt. It’s also pretty close to the time when men’s brooches need to take a little breather.
Y’lan Noel in Amiri

We didn’t love the pattern at first glance, but the longer we look at it, the more it appeals. We’d have rec’d a lighter shirt, possibly pulling out some of the subtle colors of the suit. We loathe the square-toes.
