When it comes to hosting an event like the Billboard Music Awards, there is no such thing as trying too hard, in terms of how to dress for the occasion. For that reason alone, Nick Jonas was the right man for the job. Having said that, we feel we should warn you that every one of these looks gets worse as you scroll down. Are you ready? Do you consider yourself suitably prepared for what you are about to bear witness to? Then scroll, dammit. Scroll for your life.
Oh, sorry. It just slipped out. We’d like to say this starts off well, but it really doesn’t. The jacket is kind of interesting (in the sense that it looks like the top half to a very large and formal coat), but that shirt is horrifying, that waistband is unholy, and the gold chain is an offense unto God. We have spoken.
You almost had us there, Nicky. From the shoulders to about the knees, this was working for us. Sure, we still hate turtlenecks, but the jacket’s kinda sweet. Those wide-legged pants and mall-walkers, on the other hand, not so much.
Great jacket. The pants could’ve been just as interesting if they weren’t so badly tailored. We get the boot choice, but it feels little too matchy and fashion-doll to us.
