Penelope Cruz wore some eye-popping jewelry pieces, slightly goofy shoes and a not-so-basic black dress, all courtesy of Chanel, to the Cannes Film Festival photo call for La Bola Negra. Let’s break this down.

Love some big, chunky-ass jewelry, but those are some Flintstones-looking pieces and we very much dislike the Chanel logo on them. The dress is very cute but we can’t say we’re loving the piece tied around her waist. It places the logo in a weird spot and it adds some messy volume in the worst place for it. She’s handling it just fine, but we think the dress would be improved without that element. We said the shoes are goofy, but they’re actually pretty cute. We just don’t think they look right with such a low hem.
