Madam Director is riding a wave of buzz for her debut film, and when Madam Director is also Oscar-winning actress Regina King, we get treated to a level of lewk-serving one rarely encounters among the director set.
We just wish we could say we love the lewk she’s serving. Hair and makeup? Flawless as always. But as is the case with a lot of Louis Vuitton garments, we have several issues with the design, starting with those orange panels and pockets. We say “panel,” because we have no idea how to refer to that thing stitched to the collar. It’s not a tie, sash or bow. It’s literally a panel awkwardly sewn onto the dress, hanging down its front. We like the shape of the dress a lot, and if you edit out the orange parts, it’s a good base for what could have been an eye-catching design. All it needed was a few elements and embellishments to dress it up a bit. Just not these elements and embellishments.
She’s working the hell out of it; we’ll give her that.
This looks amazing.
