You heard us. It’s time to go there. But before we do, we managed to squeeze out a few words on the current state of things and the difficulties of trying to produce meaningful, on-brand content on topics that most would consider utterly frivolous at the moment. We all need escapes right now, but we also need to be honest with ourselves about how escapism is reserved for the privileged.
After that, it’s MELANIA TIME.
We would be very happy never having to discuss this woman, but “fashion as image-craft” is pretty much our area of expertise and the First Lady’s decision to step out into the Rose Garden dressed in pseudo-military mode was not a coincidence in any way. We dive into her history of using fashion to send messages, as well as what those messages are. She ain’t subtle, folks.
After that, it’s a shallow dive into the Meghan waters as we talk about the latest “scandals” surrounding her – absolutely none of which would be considered scandalous if anyone else said them or did them. Can you guess why that is, kittens? Go on! Guess!
