Lo’s Defense: Something missing from a lot of modern fashion and red carpet choices: JOY. This is practically a walking embodiment of joyousness, but I don’t think there’s anything clowny or silly about it. It’s high fashion chicness and she’s WERQing it in the manner it should be, but it’s also happy and proud and exuberant, which strikes me as a fantastic way to go to the premiere of your Harriet Tubman biopic.
