Kittens, we were all ready to open this post with another of our usual sassy Cathy Cambridge intros until we saw the pictures. Instead of coming up with something witty or bitchy to say, we simply gasped.
This was NOT expected! It’s rare enough to see Mrs. Cathy in pants; rarer still to see her wearing such rich, saturated colors. She’s clearly feeling in an autumnal mood. With all that mulberry, sage and cranberry, we’re feeling the sudden need to go scented-candle shopping.
But talk about a freshening up; even the pumps are slightly different in style from her usual, with a thicker heel and a higher vamp. The sweater is cute and the scalloped collar is a lovely touch that keeps it from being too plain. We love the cut and the color of the pants. They feel very modern in comparison to a lot of what she wears. More of this, please. If there’s a possibility of her dialing back on the dress coats in chillier weather, we’re all for it.
