Let’s check in on – and judge, of course — all of the gownery and feathers at the Cannes Film Festival closing ceremony, oui? Oui!

We never thought we’d see the say when Aishwarya Rai would hit the Cannes Film Festival red carpet in pants. The suit’s nice enough, but the feathers only serve to obscure it.

As with most of Eva Longoria’s gown choices, we can’t find a thing wrong with it, but we won’t remember it ten seconds later. It’s fine. Gorgeous, even. Just kind of stale.

The gown is okay — we can’t say we love the neckline all that much — but the color really does nothing for her.

Glamour Puritan. Strangely, it really works for her.

The shape of the skirt’s a little tricky for our tastes and we’re about to declare war on the use of feathers in fashion, but we can’t claim she looks bad. It’s a nice change of pace to see her out of Chanel.

That is insanely cool and she’s just about the only star we can think of who could pull off this blend of glam, sexy, and futuristic minimalism.

It’s one of the more conventional looks she’s sported during the festival. We can’t decide if we hate the flowers hanging off the peplum or not. They definitely provide some unique visual interest, but they look kind of flimsy. It’s a pretty look overall, though. We’re surprised to admit we like the choker.

Simple, dramatic, and all about setting off that insane necklace. She looks amazing. That bustline was cleverly chosen.

Whenever the Pope of Fashion shows up in something weird, we’re happy. This is strange and beautiful. We hate the shoes but we love the collar.

The print is sharp and pretty. We don’t tend to like black-backed florals, but the scale and colors work well here and it’s nice to see her in one, for a change of pace. Hate the design of the bodice and that bigass bow, however.
