We’ve really got to hand it to Miss Dakota. Her public style choices tend to range from bland to goofy, but there’s one thing about the way she presents herself that’s true no matter what she’s wearing: she’s really good at looking like a star:
She’s just got that It factor, which probably isn’t a surprise since she’s got quite the megastar lineage. You grow up around/get raised by really famous people and you’re naturally going to have an innate knack for the work of being a star.
We like this look but we wouldn’t necessarily call it dramatic on its own. Put it on her, have her walk down the street, and suddenly it’s total head-turner. It helps that she’s wearing something with a clear high difficulty level (a tight skirt/crop top combo, which is positively Satanic) and pulling it off spectacularly. But we’d say a lot of female stars could work this ensemble just fine. It’s the fact that she makes it look completely effortless that sets her apart. We ding her a lot for being a little dull, but in truth, she’s got that perfect blank-slate quality that makes a star a star and allows her to work a broad range of fashion. She just look great here.
