The Cambridges are feeling might blue, it would seem.
Never forget that Mrs. Cathy thinks of her public fashion as a form of uniform. And if you doubt it, always look to her husband and children, because they will, nine times out of ten, be dressed in the same color as she is. The thing about her is, after a decade on the job, she’s very good at making the posed, artificial nature of her duties look effortless. This subtle undertone of family unity and military-like duty using fashion to make the point is smart, and it explains why her fashion tends to be minimalist and simple. It’s a cute, flattering dress in a great color. All it really needs to be.
