You might be forgiven for looking at the thumbnail and thinking “Oh, look! Lucy Boynton is wearing something pretty and sophisticated instead of dressing like a broken-down doll! How refreshing!” We’re here to warn you that things are not as they seem.
Damn, girl. You almost had us. That’s a really cute dress, but we don’t know how you look at it and think the one thing it needs is lace bicycle shorts. Believe it or not, we’re not even opposed to the existence of lace bicycle shorts. They sound fun and we think there are ways to interpret them and build an outfit around them. This ain’t it, however. The dress style simply doesn’t call for that element, which would be better off paired with something goth-sexy than something that looks like a vintage spring shift.We could even get behind the idea of wearing the dress like a top, with a pair of skinny pants under it. But this? Newp. None of it works. Cute dress, though.
