Of course Trooping the Colour tends to be a terrible showcase for fashion, but from what we can see, two things are going on here with regards to everyone’s fave duchesses and their style choices. Meghan went for her more or less signature color of navy blue, but kept her fashion very much in the comfy, covered, postpartum mode. Can’t say we like the white sleeves of the dress, but this is serviceable royal fashion for someone who’s sitting on the royal sidelines at the moment. Cathy’s butter-yellow ensemble is a bit of a surprise coming from her. It’s not a color she wears all that often. She should. It looks great on her.

In other news, the babies of the British royal family remain some of the most adorable grumps. It’s hilarious how they tend to take after their great-grandmother, who is famous for not being a smiler.
