Love Story star Naomi Watts said “No springtime florals for me, please” as she headed into the ABC Studios for a little press work.

And while there isn’t much about this look that says “Last week in April in New York,” we can’t honestly find any fault with it. No one should be pressured into florals or pastels if that’s not their bag. Besides, she looks legitimately chic. Like her bestie Nicole Kidman, she’s a blonde who really comes alive when you put her in black. We like the vaguely ’90s cut, with the boxy jacket and full pants. We don’t love the buttons but we think the vibe of the look would have changed if they were gold or silver, for instance. The all-blackness of the look is what makes it striking. No notes. She looks chic.
