The Devil Wears Prada 2 star Simone Ashley is out making the press rounds in New York and even though we still have some issues with some of her style choices (as per the usual), we kind of love that she absolutely refuses to dress in the film’s branding colors, like her co-stars have been doing so religiously.
IN NOMIA
Oof. Girl, that is drab. We figure if you’re going to go for the aggressively plain gray miniskirt, you owe it to yourself to pair it with something that will elevate it a little. For us, that means bright colors or prints, but even a rich, dark red or blue would be an improvement here. Those random slashes of florals look like student design work to us. The sandals are kind of tacky-fun, but they don’t go with the rest of the look at all.
IN GAUCHERE
Simone, you finally did it, girl. You finally put together a look for which we have not one note or quibble. As much as she loves herself a mini, she looks amazing in leather pants. The top is interesting and eye-catching in a way that takes a good picture. Good job on this one. Love the bag.
