HEY HOT LADIES!
Darlings, if you have not availed yourself of the fabulous experience of Killing Eve’s first season, you have just enough time to pack it all in before the second one drops in your lap this weekend. The onscreen chemistry between these two is just on the verge of explosive.
It seems fit and proper that they would stage a lesbian wedding for the premiere. Well done, gals. And mazel tov.
Jodie Comer in Victoria Beckham
We think a sleek, dark, femme fatale type of minimalism is exactly right for her here. The head styling is gorgeous and the shoes are killer, but unforch, the dress is pretty forgettable. We don’t mind all the interest being in the back, but the back is, in the end, not all that interesting, we’re afraid. But she is serving primo FACE and those earrings add just the visual interest the look is begging for.
Sandra Oh in Giorgio Armani
This is another case of a style direction and a look that’s a great idea for her here, but the details aren’t quite pulling together as well as they could. For such a minimalist look, it has more than its share of questionable elements. The proportions here are a little weird, especially in the jacket. We don’t love that high, curved hem of the jacket, the slight flare of the sleeves and the broad, curved neckline. It seems clear that the looks were coordinated and that the “couple” undertones are deliberate, which is why we suppose Miss Sandra got stuck sporting a clean face and sleek hair, two style choices that really don’t play to her strengths. We don’t think the suit necessarily calls for a face beat to the gods, but it’s a crime to not unleash the full glory of her hair on the red carpet.
