We highlighted some of Lucy’s costumes for the upcoming Riverdale spinoff yesterday and noted that they seemed just about right for the former comic book heroine/fashion plate character, hitting that romance/whimsy sweet spot perfectly but that was clearly just a prelude to this eye-popping look:
This is so hilariously over-the-top we can’t help but love it. It’s a cross between an Archie Comics character (which she is), a drum majorette, and a cartoon version of Carrie Bradshaw. It’s ridiculous and it’s somehow perfect. We were ambivalent about the show up until now but we find ourselves eager to see what costume WTFery they unleash on us next. This might become a must-see based on the looks alone.
