The ladystar contingent has been falling down on the job this season. Said job being the modeling of coat porn for us. And while we wouldn’t quite call this outerwear drool-worthy enough to be considered coat porn, the fact that it’s being modeled by the unlikeliest of celebrity outerwear models is enough for us to stop and take a look.

And judge, of course.

The whole look is just a sturdy, fall/winter go-to; especially for the urban gal. It’s not magazine-cover ready or fashion-forward. It’s just a great, classic look on a person we rarely see dressed this way.

In a way, we’re not surprised her coat is so sturdy and un-showy. For one, she’s a Southern California gal all the way; for another, she’s never been flashy in her style choices, so why would her coat be?
