Mad Men Ladies at Women In Film Awards

Posted on June 13, 2013

All the gals who love to hate and hate to love Don Draper got together on the red carpet to laugh at him.

In our heads.

Pin‘Mad Men’ stars Kiernan Shipka, Jessica Paré, January Jones, and Elisabeth Moss attend the 2013 Women In Film’s Crystal + Lucy Awards in Beverly Hills, California.

PinThis girl.

We cannot say how much we love the tiny purse hanging off her arm. Someone – possibly her – has amazingly good and precise instincts. That’s such a perfect little grace note to a simple look – and something that only a young teen girl can get away with, really.

We’re predicting now that when she hits 18 (possibly 16), she’s going to shock everyone by taking a major step forward in her dressing. She’ll be on all the best-dressed lists of 2018.

PinIt’s … well… A for effort, is all we can say. It’s an interesting and unexpected choice, and both the color and the top half of it work really well, but it just feels a little …. crotchy to us. And we hate the length of the pants. Shoes, unlike children, should be seen.

PinWe just love that she’s pretty much dressed as Betty Draper, something we almost never see her do in the real world. It’s kind of a pleasant surprise. We love that dress. It really says something about how influential the show is that this kind of dress is now commonly referred to as a “Betty Draper dress.”

Honey, no.

The only thing this look needs is the piece of toilet paper stuck to the heel of the shoe. Just to complete the image of the drunk bridesmaid who just ran out of the ladies room at the wedding reception at the sound of her favorite song playing and hit the dance floor with her skirt shoved into her panties.

Come on, ladies. You’ve all been there.
