And now for the annual Cannes tradition of posing on the beach in outfits completely unsuitable for the beach. The members of the Cannes Jury did their promotional duty and we have to say, they might be one of the more stylish juries Cannes has seen in a while.

They are not, however, the most patient Cannes jury we’ve ever seen, given how hard it was to get most of them to pose for solo shots.
Laura Wandel in Dior

We’re not really feeling the slides, because that massive D is kind of silly, but the dress is lovely; floaty and chic, perfect for the setting.
Demi Moore in Jacquemus

The print is cute, but the shape is goofy as hell and the matching bag is way too fashion-doll for our tastes. Demi, cut your hair. It will improve your life.

Isaach’s shirt is cute. We didn’t realize that Demi’s dress had a 3d component to it. It was not needed.

He is so good at dressing to give the impression he don’t GAF but the outfits are highly curated and a little off the beaten path, so he tends to stand out while not looking like he’s trying. Honestly, this all works for us, although we think the color scheme is dreary for the setting.
Chloé Zhao in Hermès

That’s a really cute ensemble she’s wearing. The shoes, not so much.
Ruth Negga in Celine

That’s a whole lot of satin for the daytime, but she looks great. It’s giving 1998 VMAs, which we consider a compliment around these parts.
