What’s with the Elmo tribute? There are certain things in style commentary that will always garner the exact same reaction. Broad shoulders will tend to evoke the Carol Burnett Scarlett O’Hara joke every single time. A fussy, heavy floral will always get a “grandma’s couch” response from someone. And brightly colored faux fur will always, always, ALWAYS get the “skinned a muppet” response from the masses. There’s one way to avoid this response: stop wearing brightly colored faux fur. That shit’s for cosplay, not fashion. But hey, we love the jewelry.
