Ayo Edebiri is starring in the Obamas-produced revival of Proof on Broadway and she stopped by Late Night to talk about it while wearing a wholly inexplicable outfit.
It’s giving Elaine Stritch but we’re not sure if that’s deliberate or not. Maybe she just felt like a white dress shirt and no pants reads as “Broadway star.” We get that quirky, occasionally clowny fashion is kind of her thing, but we admit to just not getting this one. The boa is fun. Pairing it with a plain white shirt and no pants is just odd. We actually think the pantsless look is cute on her, but the boa ruins the effect because it’s literally all you can see.
