Michelle Yeoh at the Berlin International Film Festival in Armani Privé: IN or OUT?

Michelle Yeoh came to the Berlinale to receive the honorary Golden Bear Award and while it’s unlikely that a significant number of you will object to what she wore for the occasion, we’re gonna put it up for a vote anyway. What the hell, it’s Friday.

We don’t like that color at all for her, but the stage lighting isn’t the best option for assessing it. We like the subtle sparkle and the pleating is interesting and well-executed, but possibly a little overdone. We don’t love how the skirt flares out at the hips and then just hangs down like that. It feels unresolved somehow — or like she forgot to wear the crinolines that skirt required. The jewelry is stunning, but we’d have rec’d removing one of those wrist pieces. Your turn.
