Princess Cathy got herself into some royal garden party finery for the Buckingham Palace garden party celebrating front line workers and charitable causes. She unveiled no style surprises for the occasion, not that she ever would, but we figured you should be prepared for the lack of dazzle as you scroll down.

The dress is pretty in that royal church clothes sort of way. Its nice to see her in polka dots, for a change of pace. Can’t say we’re liking the fabric flower at all. She switched out the black belt in the look book for a white one, which seems to have been a change made so she could sport neutral accessories. We can kind of understand why she’d want to do that for a garden party, but this whole look calls for black accessories. We wish we could say we like the hat, since it’s not one of her beloved fussy fascinators, but the longer we look at it, the more we hate it.
