Lupita Nyong’o came to the New York Film Critics Awards to hand the Best Actor trophy to Wagner Moura, for his work in The Secret Agent. They dressed nicely for the occasion.

Sort of nicely. We’re never going to understand this current trend of wearing a tuxedo without a tie. It just doesn’t work. A tux isn’t a suit. In related news, we actually wish this was a suit, because it’s far to wrinkled for formalwear and we hate the tuxedo stripe on the pants, which will never not look like a marching band uniform to us. He looks great in white and this is a good style direction for him, but the details aren’t quite there yet.

It’s a gorgeous suit in a color that absolutely sings on her, but then again, most colors do. The lace top is actually quite pretty, but we don’t think it works well with the jacket open.
