And now, in the interests of proving just how magnanimous and open to change we are, we’re about to do something we’re pretty sure we’ve never done before: Pay Justin Bieber a compliment.
To be fair, it’s not like we have a history of speaking out against him or anything. We barely have an opinion about him at all for most of the time and we rarely cover him because he almost never walks red carpets. But we can remember predicting very early in our blogging careers (and at the very beginning of his singing career) that he’d be forgotten by the time he was twenty and we were clearly extremely wrong about that. As an aside, we thought the choice to perform in his boxers might seem like attention-seeking at first glance, but we found it incredibly vulnerable. Anyway, fashion: We like that they’re so coordinated. We don’t think couples should dress to match, but all-black outfits don’t give that same vibe. We like the subtly matching jewelry and we think the minimalism of their outfits, in combination with each other, produce a confident, stylish effect. His suit’s too roomy for our tastes, but given his choice of stagewear, he clearly doesn’t like to be constricted. The sheer panels on her dress are very well executed.
