Rare is the occasion when we get to feature Rihanna on a red carpet twice in a week, but the mogul and one-time recording artist is on an upswing of late, having appeared at the Fashion Awards and now the Footwear News Achievement Awards. Don’t laugh. It’s a thing. We’d like to stir up rumors of her gearing up to drop another album, hence all of the sudden appearances, but considering she came out for two specifically fashion-related events, we think her priorities remain with her business interests at the moment. Anyway, here she is, working the hell out of those laceup sandals again.
The dress looks hellaciously heavy, but she looks pretty great in it. We’ll never love those sandals. They’ll always look tacky and uncomfortable to our eyes. We kind of like the hair, but the makeup is doing her no favors.
