Those wacky witches and wizards of Wicked are once again serving looks and selling tickets, this time at the London premiere, where some of them seem to have dialed back on the cosplay.
Ariana Grande in Ralph Lauren
Even though this is one in a very long line of wispy, floaty, princess gowns, the fact that it’s not pink makes it feel like a breath of fresh air. The dress is pretty, but the shade doesn’t suit her coloring at all, which has been an issue for her throughout this tour. Ariana, you’re not actually a pastel kind of gal.
Cynthia Erivo in Schiaparelli Couture
That leg hole is bizarre and also insanely focus-pulling. In a different design it might be interesting, but in this one, it just looks like a weirdly distracting mistake of some sort. The rest of the dress is pretty great. The hat is silly. She really wants to put that pointy hat on, doesn’t she?
Ethan Slater
Unacceptably bland. We realize there’s a personal story (left the wife for the star) that might make him want to approach this promo tour cautiously, but this looks like penance.
Jeff Goldblum in Burberry
People who aren’t Jeff Goldblum are advised to avoid attempting this at home. People who are Jeff Goldblum are somehow managing to pull it off.
Jonathan Bailey in Ralph Lauren
It’s fine. He wears black and white too much.
Michelle Yeoh in Bottega Veneta
This is gorgeous and interesting to look at. We think the scale of the leather panels is off. They’re just a little overwhelming.
