Allison Janney has always had a good handle on her style and what works best for her. She favors simple shapes and styles in bold colors, and usually goes for slinky if not body-con dresses, which is why we were a bit surprised by what the star of The Diplomat chose to wear to visit Jimmy Kimmel.
Don’t get us wrong; it’s boldly dramatic, simple in shape and style, and colorful in a way that suits her. But there’s so much volume and coverage. Not that we’re surprised or even put off by it. She looks great, in fact. The blue sings on her and the white boots are a fun surprise. We can’t say we’re in love with the mock turtleneck and that leather corset-peplum thing is made more for standing and posing than sitting down. She’s a pro and she can handle it, but she doesn’t look all that comfortable.
