Danai Gurira came to the WWD Honors to quietly slay.
Mission accomplished, we’d say. While there’s little about this look that seems worthy of spawning further discussion, what’s most appealing about it is how straightforward it is. No trends to be found; no silly items or elements that have been overdone to the point of exhaustion. It’s not sheer, it’s hemmed and fitted correctly, and the shoes don’t look like torture devices. We tend to hate that t-shirt sleeve length for gowns and if we’re being blunt, we’re not sure black pumps make the best choice for a silver gown, but these are minor quibbles. She looks great. Love the hair.
