Alison Brie is getting her Evil-Lyn on and of all the things we might have expected from the Masters of The Universe promo tour, we didn’t expect to see her stepping up her style game so much. But when she came to the premiere in an uncharacteristically edgy Iris van Herpen, we should’ve realized that she was playing around with a little bit of light character cosplay. She came to Jimmy Kimmel Live in a dress that answers the never-asked question “What would an intergalactic witch wear when she wants to feel a little sassy about herself?”

She’s always had a lightly tacky fashion sense and if we were feeling less charitable, we might suggest that this dress is very shiny and comes off a little chintzy on camera. But it fits the brief for theme-dressing without being literal about it and she looks legitimately cute in it. It’s probably a bit short for sitting down, but she loves herself a mini and they’re suddenly trendy again, so this is all working for us.
