We gave Sabrina Carpenter the spotlight post for being the most dazzling attendee at the Time100 Gala, so now it’s time to round up the other honorees and let them know what they got wrong in order to explain why they did not receive the coveted T Lo spotlight treatment. Let’s try and be kind, okay? These people are hurting right now. Haha, just kidding. Let’s be mean. They can take it.

It’s giving Jean Harlow, which is never a bad thing, but that bust sure could fit better.

Anna Sawai in Tory Burch

Meh. The whole thing feels a little casual for a gala red carpet. Kinda hate that skirt.

Ashley Park in Elie Saab

Gorgeous and glam. She looks perfect.

Kaia Gerber in Ferragamo

It’s sharp and interesting. It plays to her strengths. But that skirt looks incredibly annoying.

That bust looks like the tissue paper you shove in a gift bag because you didn’t feel like wrapping the gift. The dress would be better without it.

Can’t argue with that. Love those fresh shoes, mister.

We don’t like anything about this style, but it seems to us that if you’re doing ruffled collar and cuffs, you’d want them to stand out more. There’s too much going on with the design and textile choice. The belt is badly placed and the shoes are badly chosen.

Gorgeous. We’d have liked the hair up, but no one’s doing that at the moment.

Reneé Rapp in Willy Chavarria

We like the idea of this juxtaposition, but the track suit jacket needs some more in order to coordinate better with that skirt.

A tie would have been nice, but this is one of his best red carpet looks ever.

Kudos to him for finding and wearing a genuinely original take on formal menswear. We don’t love it, but we respect it.

Victoria Monét in Archival Roberto Cavalli

NO ONE could argue with that.

It’s an interesting attempt, but we’re afraid you can’t chop a trench coat in half and call it a jacket, let alone formalwear.
