Good Lady Cate stopped by the Good Morning America studios to promote Borderlands, which opens this week. We’ve been wondering how she was going to approach the poledance for this one, since it’s an action movie based on a videogame, which is not her usual prestige-actress purview. Looks like she’s planning on getting a little funky with it:

She’s done casual looks plenty of times before, but we were a little shocked to see her in what looked like a head-to-toe denim ensemble. The good lady can go as cazh as she wants, but we weren’t prepared for the Canadian tuxedo route. Turns out? It’s velvet dyed to look like denim which is exactly the kind of lightly pretentious fashion we expect from GLC. Honestly, we weren’t sure what to think at first glance. The belt is kind of goofy, the pale color isn’t the best for her, and the hair looks a little too crunchy. But the longer we look at this goofy-chic getup, the more it starts to appea to us. We’ll probably never come around on that belt, though.
