Jennifer Connelly has been making the promo rounds for her new show Dark Matter and we can’t decide if she toned down her wacky preferences so much because of the mainstream undertone of these engagements or if she’s trying to give the series a hard sell because the buzz isn’t great.

Like, that is pretty much the most conventional outfit we’ve ever seen her wear. It’s chic, of course. Kinda hard to make an outfit as classic as this one look not chic. We expect virtually no agreement on this one, but we like the branded heels.

We tend to loathe mumsy peach dresses, so we’re shocked by how much this appeals to us – possibly because it’s just so unexpected to see her in something this conventional.

This is the only look that has that Connelly/LV edge to it, and even this one is uncharacteristically cute. The sleeves look flotation devices, but they’re kind of fun and they go well with the space boots.
