What? Like you thought we wouldn’t? Listen, we would have been happy to simply spend this podcast talking about how disappointing the Oscars fashion was this year, but in the nearly nine years we’ve been podcasting, we never received so many pleas to cover a topic as the Princess Cathy Mother’s Day Picture Disaster.
We do manage to get in a few thoughts on the Oscars, we promise. But after that, it’s a deep dive into the worst royal PR disaster we’ve seen since Charles expressed a wish to be Camilla’s tampon. Using royal reporter Ellie Hall’s excellent timeline as a starting point, we run down most of the major events, decisions, and backlashes that have occurred in the months since Kensington Palace announced Kate’s sabbatical.
