Dame Helen Mirren Gets Her Own Barbie Doll for International Women’s Day.

Helen Mirren is one of the world’s best known and most respected actresses with an international career that spans stage, screen and television and has won many awards for her powerful and versatile performances, including the Academy Award in 2007 for her performance in The Queen. The only performer to have achieved both the American and the British Triple Crowns of Acting, Helen’s career began with the National Youth Theatre playing Cleopatra and has since performed on London’s West End and Broadway. Helen’s film and TV roles have included The Queen, Elizabeth I, Gosford Park, Calendar Girls, the Fast & The Furious franchise, Hitchcock, Prime Suspect, Red, 1923, and the narrator role in 2023’s record-breaking Barbie the Movie.

Helen is patron of a number of organisations supporting women and children, and is an advocate for embracing and celebrating self-expression, aging and fashion. Helen was appointed a Dame of the British Empire by HM Queen Elizabeth II in 2003.

 

The doll replicates the blue look she wore to the Cannes Film Festival.
