We still have a whole bunch of Grammys weekend looks to get to and we already did a solid day of opinionating on a lot of the more notable looks of the big night, but it’s time to round up everyone left on the main event red carpet and give them the T Lo treatment: driveby bitchery with no explanations. Hit it!
Bebe Rexha in Robert Wun
It’s very Sexy Morticia and the design is surprisingly basic, but she’s lending it drama and it might be the best she’s looked on a red carpet.
Carolina Polachek in Olivier Theyskens
Ah, there it is. We miss the days of freaky fashion on music awards red carpets. Everyone’s all HOT and EDGY but no one’s stepping up for the weirdos. We kinda of love this, not least because it’s chic to boot.
Celine Dion in Valentino Couture
It was great seeing the diva out and about again, but we confess to not loving the combination of jacket and dress. They’re both gorgeous, but the weights and colors don’t coordinate.
Coco Jones in Celia Kritharioti
We might be prudish enough to suggest that this would benefit from a narrower neckline, but it’s a gorgeous look.
Coi Leray in Saint Laurent
This was fun.
Doja Cat in Dilara Findikoglu
This is heinous.
Ed Sheeran
Y’know? The suit is pretty interesting. It only loses us in the footwear choice.
Gracie Abrams in Chanel Couture
We don’t love the return of those open-toe Barbie mules lately, but we do love this combination of skirt and top. It feels modern and restrained.
Heidi Klum in Valdrin Sahiti
HAHAHAHA WE SAID “RESTRAINED.” Heidi has chosen not to recognize this English word in her professional life. This is hideous.
Ice Spice in Baby Phat
Welcome to 2024, time traveler. How were the 2002 VMAs? Love your look.
Jessica Beets and Niece Nash Beets (in Mac Bouwer)
Never not spectacular, the both of them.
Jon Batiste in Versace
We aren’t in love with the cut of the pants, but the rest of the design is gorgeous.
Jordin Sparks in Zigman
Without that beetle carapace bodice, we could like this.
Kat Graham in Stéphane Rolland Couture
We said in our Cosmo writeup that she looked like a sexy envelope and we stand by that. It was not a compliment.
Kelly Clarson in Jason Wu
This is lovely. We might’ve liked a pendant, if only to keep it from looking a little bridal.
Kylie Minogue in Dolce & Gabbana
AWFUL. Those problematic Italian bitches did you wrong, diva.
Lana Del Rey
We laughed. It’s taking the Mob Wife thing to cosplay levels, but it really is an almost cute look – or it would be if she ripped off every one of the bows (she has them on her wrists too).
Laufey in Chanel
The back is semi nice, but girl that is the most un-Chanel Chanel you could’ve snagged.
Lenny Kravitz in Rick Owens
We don’t think this goes far enough in giving him the style refresh he really needs, but it’s definitely modern, hot and has an edge to it that suits him.
Maluma in Dolce & Gabbana
It’s okay. It has a lot of personality, but we can’t say we love the shoes or the hair for him.
Olivia Rodrigo in Vintage Versace
Cute and well styled, but we hate the sequin placement on that dress.
Paris Hilton in Reem Acra
Honestly? We can’t say we hate it.
Paris Jackson in Celine
It’s okay, but it feels like a Miley castoff.
Victoria Monét in Atelier Versace
This is gorgeous. Perhaps a weensy bit overdesigned in the bodice, but that bronze satin absolutely sings on her. It’s not a color/textile combination you see on the red carpet all that much.
