Queen Máxima is out in green — ALL green. The Queen did a very queenly sort of thing today by paying a visit to the new Mammal Building at the AAP Foundation, a sanctuary for the advocacy and protection of animals. The new building is being opened to host various exotic mammals with living environments and accommodations suited to their individual needs. That’s lovely, but you need to prepare for the scrolldown.

Oof. GIRL. First, that’s too much green for one look. Second, the greens are slightly off. Third, we don’t think a straw hat works with a silk suit. Fourth, it’s too shiny. Fifth, the fit is off all over. Sixth, the skirt would be so much better without those awful pleats. And seventh, while the neutral pumps aren’t terrible, they do look a little odd when there’s so much color everywhere else. Max, it’s okay to throw out old clothes when they go out of style or don’t fit the way they used to. We give you permission.
