Poor Things star Emma Stone snagged yet another trophy on her way to that Best Actress Oscar at the BAFTAS this weekend. To mark the occasion, she wore something fucked up.

We didn’t see the point in being coy about it. Putting aside our innate, white-hot dislike of peach, this is a bizarre and ugly design. Every textile (and there are too many different ones) looks cheap and chintzy. Every design decision, from the pointless buttons to the one leg of mutton sleeve to trimming the bottom of a lightweight skirt with quilted bedding, feels random and completely un-considered. It all looks like they just slapped some shit on a dress form in a hurry. We’re usually very supportive of mainstream stars finding ways to be weird or unexpected in their style choices, but the problem with Emma Stone is not that she likes weird shit, it’s that she likes ugly shit. Not that it’s hurting her career in any way, obviously.
