The last time we feature her, we said we were going to give Killers of the Flower Moon star Lily Gladstone a spotlight post every time she stepped out in public, simply because the SAG AFTRA strike robbed her of the opportunity to mount a killer Oscar fashion campaign. So here she is, folks. The only problem?

We’re not in love with her dress. To be fair, she’s to be commended for finding such a restrained and low-key elegant design among the Gucci pile, but this is more than a little underwhelming to us. We don’t love tiered dresses and we don’t love sheer capelets, so very little about this design checks off our boxes, so to speak. The color’s nice, but we can’t help shaking the sense that she looks a little like a mushroom. Are we terrible? Is this dress terrible? Put another way…
