Annie hosted the CFDAs and, like the Fashion Girl she is, she didn’t restrict herself to just one look. Attagirl. Still gonna judge you, though.

It’s interesting how certain looks go from being jokey cultural references to outright cultural milestones. You simply cannot look at a denim gown and not have Britney Spears come to mind. This would’ve sounded silly ten years ago, but she really did make that look iconic; so much so that pretty much any time someone wears a version of it, her name comes up. Given the revelations in Britney’s astonishingly best-selling memoir coming out every day, it’s hard not to see this as a deliberate homage. And now, the nitpicky: we’d have rather it was all one piece. We don’t like the mismatched denims. That floral is uniquely pretty and we think it isn’t set off as well as it should be by the design. The necklace is a stunner.
IN RODARTE
We’ve had more than our fill of sheer lace dresses lately, but the overall effect here is very pretty, even if the design tends to draw your eye directly to her crotch.
