We don’t know if The Devil Wears Prada 2 will be any good. We don’t know even if it will sell any tickets or become a box office smash. But on thing we do know is that it inspired the greatest Meryl Streep style run of her long career. The lady, who is not someone who loves the world of fashion particularly, has been crushing it on that front. For the New York premiere, she stuck to the film’s branding, but unleashed her most dramatic look yet.

Did she absolutely need to wear the shades, the leather opera gloves or the stiletto heels? No. The cape is dramatic enough that she could have slacked off a little on the styling. We’re so pleased to see she didn’t. If Miranda Damn Priestley can’t get a little extra at her film premiere, then who can?
