Miss Flo is back in our lives and suddenly, all is right with the world, darlings. We tend to think of Florence Pugh as the last woman standing when the SAG-AFTRA strike was called. She and her Oppenheimer cast mates walked off the red carpet at the film’s London premiere in July, marking the last of our summer movie premiere red carpet coverage. But now she’s back from outer space, so wipe that sad look off your face. The answer is “When Florence Pugh is wearing one.” Add a punky little do, a septum ring, and a soupcon of nipple to any white lace gown and suddenly, the bridal connotations evaporate. She looks fabulous. Of all the sheer dress wearers we’ve covered in the last decade-plus, she is the best at working them.
