The Princess of Wales is in the full swing of a string of royal day engagements and she busted out the perfect little day dress for her latest outing, to the Anna Freud Centre in London, to meet with students during Mental Health Awareness Week. An engagement like this calls for a photogenic, but relatively unfussy sort of look that encompasses looking professional while also looking royal. It’s kind of her style sweet spot.
The dress is classic to the point of being nearly nondescript, but the color is very photogenic and the button detailing is just interesting enough to keep it from being generic. The two-tone slingbacks are a really nice touch. Could she finally be getting away from her match-the-shoes-to-the-dress phase? Oh, if only.
