Vanity Fair Oscar Party 2023 Red Carpet Rundown – Part Two

Posted on March 16, 2023

Part One of our Vanity Fair party coverage is HERE! ALL of our Oscars 2023 coverage is HERE! L!F!G!

Brett Goldstein

Can’t argue with any of it except the kind of silly pose.

Cara Delevingne in Del Core

It’s been a while since we’ve had a classic babyheads moment on the red carpet. Boobage aside, it’s a more interesting design than you might assume at first glance.

Cardi B in Robert Wu

Hot. Can’t argue with any of it, although the veil seems a bit half-assed.

Christina Aguilera in Chrome Hearts Couture

It’s very Christina and it works. She looks pretty good.

Danielle Deadwyler in Moschino

The dress is a lot of fun but we do NOT agree with the accessorizing choices here.

Donald Glover in Alexander McQueen

We love it, especially the open back, but he does it a disservice by not ensuring that it fit correctly.

Heidi Klum in Zuhair Murad Couture

Heidi would normally be the last person we’d expect to work some Ursula the Sea Witch drag, but it looks great on her.

Hunter Schafer in Ann Demeulemeester

Ow.

Idris Elba

Dentist/cult leader.

Jodie Turner-Smith in Gucci

A fabulous, sexy, drag harlequin. The lips are fantastic. We think the dress needed to give her more support in the bust.

Joe Jonas (in Bode) and Sophie Turner (in Louis Vuitton)

For once, he’s wearing the more interesting outfit. Her dress is fine. The sheer effect is actually interesting. But we’ve gotta give it to him for those fabulous velvet pajamas.

Kaia Gerber (in Celine) and Austin Butler (in Saint Laurent)

Serving “Hot, Sexy, A-listers.” This year’s It Couple. They look fantastic.

Kate Beckinsale in Tony Ward Couture

This was a big year for showing up in these huge, inflatable opera coats. There’s a lot of drama going on here, but that’s her brand. We appreciate how skillfully she’s grabbed the spotlight.

Kerry Washington in Vintage Donna Karan

We really like the design, but it’s terribly unphotogenic. This wasn’t the place for it.

Naomi Campbell in Schiaparelli Couture

Not even she can make that bust work. The skirt looks like bathroom tile.

Olivia Wilde in Gabriela Hearst

Meh. More interesting in concept than execution.

Regé-Jean Page in Giorgio Armani

Very pretty.

Saweetie in Georges Chakra Couture

Love the color, hate the shape.

Sienna Miller in Fendi Couture

This is surprisingly bad. We suspect that textile looks way richer and more interesting in person, but the fit is terrible.

Taika Waititi (in Fendi) and Rita Ora (in Wiederhoeft)

They look insufferable, but her dress is kind of interesting.

Tessa Thompson in Moschino

Boy, this turned out to be a real “Take your top off” kind of party, didn’t it? As much as we loathe the falling-off dress, this one is kind of chic, even if the whole exposed bra thing is tired and over-played.

Zachary Levi in Canali

We appreciate the commitment to wearing the velvet all the way down but the jacket is too tight and he needed an undershirt.
