Such is the power of Testaments star Chase Infiniti, because she came to the Gotham Awards, where she picked up a trophy for Outstanding Lead Performance in a Drama Series while sporting an ensemble that we absolutely should hate on sight, and yet we’re all “Doesn’t she look gorgeous?”
Which she does — look gorgeous, we mean, although that’s all on her and in spite of the outfit. We’re just not feeling the Barbie pink anymore and we thought it should have been retired from fashion at least a year ago, but apparently that trend hasn’t completely died yet. Putting aside our personal dislike of the shade, we don’t think it’s a very good color for her specifically. Either a paler pink or a more vivid one, we think. But the “feather” wrap also bugs, if only because we’ve seen about ten thousand of them in the last year. And finally, the dress itself is kind of a blah design. She has the ability to make everything she wears seem more exciting and fresher than it actually is, so she looks great, despite everything she’s wearing.
