Salma Hayek and Antonio Banderas quite clearly did not coordinate their outfits for the premiere of Puss in Boots: The Last Wish. They looked kind of adorable together anyway.
Are we without critique or quibble? Kittens, please.
Salma Hayek in Alexander McQueen
It’s very Booby Cinderella. There. We said it. It’s a pretty enough gown, if a little fusty in the design. We wouldn’t say that blue is the best color for her, though. And we think the way the waist is set looks abrupt and unresolved. In more complimentary news, say what you will about her preferences in terms of how to highlight them, but those babyheads are extremely well-wrangled. We kind of feel like that much boob requires a bit more volume in the hair, but that’s probably Dolly’s influence talking.
Antonio Banderas in Osant
We wouldn’t suggest that he’s too old to wear any of these items, but we’re afraid that, in combination, the whole look is giving Divorced Dad. The sweater and jacket are a great combination, but we think the pants and footwear need a serious rethink. For one, that jacket pretty much demands boots. We rarely recommend jeans for a red carpet, but we think a standard pair of blue jeans in a relatively light wash would work better than the black ones, which tend to look like dress pants too much. That unzipped chest pocket is giving us eyelid twitches.
