We’re glad Jake seems to be very happy at the moment. We, on the other hand, are confused. Mister, just what do you call this?
Over the summer, Brad Pitt was working an interesting hybrid of menswear and athleisure that really worked well for him, even if some of the looks got a little sloppy. This outfit – and most of what he’s been wearing lately – seems like an attempt to pull the same high-low/dressy-cazh style off, but the pieces are just odd-looking. A mauve silk jacket and purple silk shirt don’t really give the sort of casual vibe that would allow you to get away with a pair of drawstring pants. It doesn’t help that the drawstring stands out above every other element of the look AND that the pants basically look like standard dress pants – aside from the drawstring, of course. He chose to finish this bizarre look off with a nice, conventional pair of dress shoes and well, we’re more confused than ever.
