Met Gala co-chair Lewis Hamilton embodied the theme of the exhibit perfectly, but with a little bit less of the ostentation of some of his peers. He’s a dandy, but he’s a minimalist, low-key sort of dandy.
In terms of design, the look is somewhat basic, but the styling elevates it to the point where we consider it one of the best looks of the night. As much as we love the drama and outrageousness that the Met Gala tends to inspire, we appreciate impeccable looks far more than theatricality. He doesn’t just look good here, he looks delicious; from the grooming to the jewelry and accessories (love that hat and that cowrie shell sash) to the buckles on his patent leather shoes, he’s the epitome of superfine.
