There was simply no way in hell that Diana Ross was going to come to the Met Gala in anything but the most dramatic diva serve possible. Thus it came to pass:
The old gods bow down in gratitude. The ancient covenant has been fulfilled. Miss Ross is at the Met Gala, slaying her lessers. The legend came sporting the ultimate head-turning look by Nigerian design house Eleven Sixteen. We tend to think this diva is beyond reproach, so while most of this isn’t to our liking (the FEATHERS), we simply have no interest in nitpicking it or ignoring its obvious impact. This is what we in the fashion commenting biz like to call a capital-M Moment. Can you even think of another 81-year-old capable of this kind of serve?
