Amsterdam and Babylon star Margot Robbie celebrated her status as WSJ. Mag’s Entertainment Innovator of the Year by not wearing her customary Chanel. This is cause for celebration because frankly, the House of Coco has not done right by her. If the thumbnail above has you thinking she wore a conventional white suffragette suit, think again. There is a scrolldown surprise.
We… kinda? Like it? The flare is unexpected and while we think it might be a bit overdone (too long and too wide), the suit would be a lot less interesting with a straight leg. On the other hand, it seems like wearing the lace top extended past the jacket hem is a feature that would work better if it wasn’t competing with those flares. We guess it comes down to one feature or the other for us, because both of them together is a little distracting. Still, we’re extremely grateful she didn’t go for the pants ruffles of the runway version.
